Hello, Reader, Calm me nosey, but I think it's so interesting to know which posts get the most traffic on different blogs. Sometimes, it's something totally random that you wouldn't expect and other times, it's a post you definitely didn't know about and absolutely should! At the end of every year, I like to take stock of which posts got the most traffic on my own blog, and just had to share with you. Do any of these surprise you? ๐ Most Popular Posts of 202510. Dill Salt I'm honestly not sure why this one is so popular, but hey, I'll take it! It's a nice way to use up leftover fresh dill, especially if you're growing it this year.
9. Vanilla Bean Paste Yep, you can make this baking essential at home! My recipe uses just three ingredients, including vanilla extract and spent vanilla beans.
8. Vanilla Simple Syrup Infusing real vanilla bean into your simple syrup adds so much flavor and richness! I'm not too surprised by this one at all.
7. Honey Wheat Sourdough Bread This is one of those recipes that always turns out great. Soft, tender, and slightly sweet with a nutty whole wheat flavor!
6. Setting Up a Homesteading Kitchen If you want to cook from scratch and preserve the harvest, you really need to make sure you have the right equipment on hand. This post guides you through what you'll need to make it easier to get organized.
5. How to Make Whipped Honey This super simple technique makes your honey thick and creamy, like a cloud of sweet marshmallow fluff. Not surprised by this one! I also include flavor variations, which most people don't do.
4. Cardamom Scones I don't want to toot my own horn on these ones, but I totally understand why they're so popular. The mixture of homemade cardamom extract and cardamom sugar plus super soft and tender scones...delicately spiced, aromatic, buttery, and sweet. So good!
3. DIY Baking Powder This one tends to spike before each holiday, which I assume means people are running out of baking powder from all their holiday baking. Always happy to help!
2. Slow Living Hobbies This post has been one of my most popular ones for years. Really, it's just a good list of hobbies and activities to try to slow down this year.
1. What is an Ingredient Household? I'm definitely surprised by this one! I published it last January, and had NO idea it would explode on social media and Google. I get thousands of people coming just for this post every month!
Honorable Mentions These ones almost made the list for 2025. Maybe for 2026?
Any surprises here? Did you find any posts you hadn't seen before? I'd love to hear what you think! |

Hi, Reader, If you ever need a dessert quickly, blondies and brownies are my go-to. One bowl, throw it together, then bake! They're great warm on their own, with ice cream for special occasions, or even just standing over the kitchen sink for a quick snack. P.S. All of my blondies recipes are formulated for 8x8 square metal pans, BUT you can double them to make enough for a 9x13 metal pan. This is really handy if you're making a bunch for a party or something!PRO TIP: If the batter is a...
Hi, Reader, Are you trying to be more hands-on in your kitchen? Sometimes we call it self-sufficiency, which it is in a way. Sometimes we call it being frugal, which it can be (not always). But for me, I always see it as a chance for creative expression. I really think that's one of the things that separates me from other bloggers and content creators. I'm not all about the cheapest of everything ever (for better or worse), and I still layer in and practice many, many old-fashioned skills....
Hi, Reader, How's your week been? It's been WILD over here. I just sent out the Spring issue of The Handmade Year a few days ago, and then setup my new booth at a local antique mall! Want to see some pics? For The Handmade Year, I wanted it to be a pure celebration of Spring with lots of strawberries, rhubarb, and herbs. I'm so happy with how this issue turned out, and absolutely loved making these recipes. I'll be bringing some with me to Easter celebrations this weekend, too! For the booth,...
