๐Ÿฆƒ๐Ÿ‚ My Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes

Hi, Reader,

Happy Sunday! How is it possibly Thanksgiving this week?
โ€‹
Honestly, I'm barely making it to the holiday this year.

We've had multiple family members with medical issues this month, and unfortunately, my husband's grandma passed away just a few days ago.

She basically became an adoptive grandma to me over the years after I lost both of my own, and we shared similar passions for spending time with family, cooking from scratch, and collecting vintage glassware.

Although it feels hard to think about celebrating right now, I also know it will be healing and meaningful to be together for the holiday - in her home, eating her favorite recipes, and using the good china.

It's also exactly what she wanted us to do.

For me, it's also a reminder of just why I spend so much time developing recipes and passing on "the old ways." It might seem like they're just recipes, but food connects us, and a good recipe eventually becomes part of who we are.

I really cannot imagine a better legacy than sharing recipes that may one day turn into family heirlooms.

(If it takes me longer to reply to emails or comments, I appreciate your understanding.)

Below, I wanted to share some recipe inspiration for you to prepare for Thanksgiving! I've got some savory sides below and then keep scrolling for my personal favorite options for a holiday dessert.

I hope you have a warm, loving holiday. If you're grieving or missing someone too, I hope you feel them this week. Do or make something they loved in their honor. Sending lots of love and peace your way. ๐Ÿค

Hello, Reader, Calm me nosey, but I think it's so interesting to know which posts get the most traffic on different blogs. Sometimes, it's something totally random that you wouldn't expect and other times, it's a post you definitely didn't know about and absolutely should! At the end of every year, I like to take stock of which posts got the most traffic on my own blog, and just had to share with you. Do any of these surprise you? ๐Ÿ† Most Popular Posts of 2025 10. Hello, Reader, Whew, what a whirlwind! This month truly flew by. How were your holidays? Now that the chaos of Christmas is over, I'm ready to sink into winter. This is the best time to focus on rest, and as someone who practices seasonal slow living, this is an essential part of my annual rhythm. I'll even be taking the next week off from posting new recipes and the regular hamster wheel of content creation to get some time away from my phone and social media and spend more time with my...

Hello, Reader, Happy Christmas Eve Eve!I made a spur of the moment decision three weeks ago to post 24 different homemade holiday gifts this month - one for every day leading up to Christmas. But I just published the final recipe, and wanted to give you the FULL list all in one handy spot. 1.Hot Chocolate in a Jar 2. Beeswax Candles 3. Flavored Whipped Honey 4. Wooden...
